Securing the Future --
Cyber security leaders join California state and local government security professionals to discuss solutions to the evolving cyber security challenges that face government today.
Topics will include the critical issues of establishing a threat and vulnerability management program, privacy and data protection and the role intrusion detection plays in an organization's overall security strategy.
The day will end with an informative and light-hearted presentation by Dr. Kevin Kealy, AT&T Lab's Security Scientist on "Securing the Future," what every organization needs to know about how to safeguard data and systems as IT staff moves in and out of an organziation.
California's Executive Officer of Information Security and Privacy Protection, Mark Weatherford, will be hosting the summit, held on Thursday, May 14 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Securing the data is very important, but how secure is the drive from water and fire damage? ioSafe created disaster proof data storage devices to protect against fire and water damage. Protecting the drive is much less expensive than creating multiple data centers, and should be a part of the discussion about security.
